Barbarian Invasions

There were ten reasons for the fall of the Roman Empire, barbarian invasions being one of them. Rome's army was very fragile and weak so when tribal  groups invaded they thought about running, not fighting. Because armor was no longer used in battle many of the Roman soldiers died. Most barbarians decided to come from the East. Groups like the Vandals made almost a full circle around the Mediterranean Sea before attacking Rome.Others, like the Huns, merely settled for a home. But, the Goths were ruthless, striking directly at Rome's heart. For over 100 years these barbarian invaders continuously attacked Rome, causing it to become even more weak and vulnerable. Now, if Rome had used armor, then maybe they wouldn't have died out as fast as they did. Rome was one of the world's strongest empires for a very long time but, due to reasons like invasions, the Roman empire slowly but surely declined.
