The Romans, for a long period of time, were for the most part "well groomed'' people. Over time the citizens including rulers and soldiers became very cruel and brutal. During this citizens of all sorts attended the bloody gladiator games to cheer for their favorite gladiator. The people would cheer for a gruesome match and loved the scene of death. If there were to be to much blood on the floor of the coliseum workers or slaves would come in and lay sand over the brutal sight and the games would continue. Roman citizens craved death and cruelty during this time and would be very disappointed if their gladiator either died or didn't kill the other gladiator. The very streets of Rome became dangerous at night and people became afraid to leave their houses at night. Citizens were being robbed and maybe killed in the safety of their neighborhoods or even houses. (Ten Reasons for the Fall of Rome Packet)
Great job! You have great adjectives that show how gruesome and horrible these events were. You were missing a comma after "this" in the second sentence, but otherwise, just keep up the good work!
